Trackman Baseball Software Clinic

Rip City is excited to offer our Trackman Baseball software for clinic to provide players the opportunity to get assessed hitting metrics! (Exit velo, launch angle, distance, etc.)

Trackman is a radar and camera based advanced technology system to measure, analyze, and improve performance. It’s one of the most advanced technologies used at the college + professional level and now youth players can benefit too!

The first camp will be on Saturday, November 22nd from 10am-1pm.

All players will also receive a report card with metrics to take home.

Pitching Academy

The academy meets 2x per week with a professional instructor!

Coach Arguello is lead instructor and currently Varsity HS Pitching Coach & Showcase Pitching Coordinator. Arguello spent 14 years playing baseball professionally as a pitcher within the Houston Astros organization, including AAA with a MiLB League All-Star game selection.

Rip City Pitching Academy provides technical instruction, but also focuses exceptional time on age appropriate strength, flexibility & conditioning. Our pitching academy is part of our technical instructional series and led by former college coaches and/or former professional pitchers.

Early December emphasis is on exercises and techniques to train the scapular stabilizers as well as the rotator cuff. In addition, pitcher specific strength training & conditioning with increased emphasis on core & legs will be a key component.

Academy enrollment fee includes initial enrollment of $295 + dues also in Jan & February are also required ($825 paid in full for 3 month program). This camp molds smart & seasoned pitching coaches with new school technology. The college and MLB caliber technology from Trackman measures the impact of spin on every ball; it shows the actual flight of a pitched baseball and calculates the corresponding trajectory of the same pitch without any spin.

The overall goal is to increase pitcher’s velocity in the strike zone while avoiding arm injuries. Additionally, ensuring each pitcher has a dynamic secondary pitch is a key part of the pitching academy programming.
